Mauricio "Shogun" Rua is fighting out of Curitiba, Brazil and is a member of Universidade da Luta. He has an orthodox stance and a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He became famous for his wild, aggressive style and use of stomps and soccer kicks to downed opponents while fighting in Pride Fighting Championship. He lost his last fight in October 2009 against Machida at UFC 104 and is certainly looking to redeem himself.
