After the controversial championship fight at UFC 104 "Machida vs. Shogun" last October 24, 2009, another anticipated rematch is going to blow up the UFC Arena. The unanimous decision was widely booed after hailing Lyoto Machida's victory with many patrons perceptibly swayed by Rua's performance in the Octagon.
Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida is a Japanese Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter from Salvador, Brazil and is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. He has a south paw stance and is a member of Black House. He has also a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a 3rd degree black belt in shotokan. As of November 2009, Machida is undefeated in his professional MMA career.
Mauricio "Shogun" Rua is fighting out of Curitiba, Brazil and is a member of Universidade da Luta. He has an orthodox stance and a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He became famous for his wild, aggressive style and use of stomps and soccer kicks to downed opponents while fighting in Pride Fighting Championship. He lost his last fight in October 2009 against Machida at UFC 104 and is certainly looking to redeem himself.
Objections and forecasts will put to an end as the repeat clash between these two controversial fighters will have another countenance at UFC 113: Machida vs. Shogun 2 on Saturday May 8th, 2010 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Links will be posted a night before the game. LIVE STREAM HERE>>>
