The 2009 International Emmy Awards Live will take place Monday, November 23, 2009 at the Hilton Hotel, New York. Hosted by British comedian, Graham Norton, the ceremony will honor both; Sir David Frost, one of the preeminent television figures of the 20th century whose interviews with President Richard Nixon were immortalized in last year’s Oscar nominated movie Frost/Nixon, as he receives the 2009 International Emmy® Founders Award; and Prof. Markus Schächter, Director General of German public-service broadcaster ZDF, one of Europe’s largest and most respected broadcasters, as he receives the 2009 International Emmy® Directorate Award.The International Emmy Awards Gala is the world’s most prestigious international television event.
