These ads are too racy, too controversial or just too darn offensive - well, at least for CBS - to air during the Super Bowl. But don't worry, you can watch them on our site by clicking on the video player above.
Mancrunch.com, a gay dating site, submitted an ad that shows a male make-out session. The two men in the ad are watching the game together, and when their hands touch as they reach for the pototo chips at the same time, they suddenly leap towards each other in an excited embrace.
It was rejected by CBS, whose Standards and Practices Department wrote that it "is not within the Network's Broadcast Standards for Super Bowl Sunday."
ManCrunch belives discrimination is the reason the ad was rejected.
"If the ad showed a man and woman kissing it would have been accepted," ManCrunch spokesperson Elissa Buchter said, according to the Huffington Post.
"It's discriminatory that they won't show it," she added.
Once again, Internet company GoDaddy.com got its ad banned from the Super Bowl. The ad features "Lola's Lingerie" - and includes some provacative images of scantily clad woman.
“Of the five commercial concepts we submitted for approval this year, this NEVER would’ve been my pick for the one that would not be approved,” GoDaddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons said in a release. “This is about a guy who starts an online business and hits the jackpot. I just don’t think ‘Lola’ is offensive, in fact we didn’t see this one coming — we were absolutely blindsided!”
The version of a Dante's Inferno ad that had "Go to Hell" in the closing shots also got banished from airing during the Super Bowl. The company removed the tagline from the ad so that it could air during the game.
And back by popular demand - PETA's Veggie Sex ad, which was banned from last year's Super Bowl. What can we say? Readers loved it last year, so we're bringin' it back. -----BY Catey Hill DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
